Drawing and modelling is a course where drawing and drafting were further exercised, practice in three dimensions was added, performing experiments and observing space. Students took natural elements and designed their own spaces, based on certain premises. The main focus in the course was the intriguing relationship between the environment and constructed objects and the emphasis on initiative and independent approaches to obtain raw materials and developing ideas in three dimensional design on two dimensional surfaces through photographing and sketching.
Anguilliform is a project based on the motions of salmons jumping up a river or catching a fly. Their scales and curves make for an interesting subject when designing a town square with their peculiar shapes and colors. To have the element of water present at the square was essential since water soothes a busy mind, creates playful environment and atmosphere.
